The Perpetual Active Fixed Interest Fund aims to provideinvestors with a regular, quarterly income stream.

The portfolio consists of a handpicked selection of primarily government and corporate bonds chosen from a wide universe of debt instruments in order to maximise return opportunities and to diversify risk.

The Fund is actively managed by an experienced portfolio manager who has managed the fund through numerous credit and rates cycles, supported by a stable team that has invested together for over a decade, using an investment approach that seeks to identify quality credit investments while actively managing risk.

The Perpetual Active Fixed Interest Fund could suit those that are looking for a fixed interest holding of government and corporate securities.

It is a core fund for Australian investors, providing income and diversification to equity risk, offering investors the defensive characteristics they are seeking.

The Fund aims to provide investors with regular income by investing in fixed income securities, primarily
government and corporate bonds and to outperform the Bloomberg AusBond Composite Index (before fees and taxes) over rolling three year periods.

Perpetual aims to enhance returns by:

  • diversifying the portfolio amongst different securities issued by various borrowers
  • actively managing for changes in market-wide and security-specific credit margins
  • identifying and investing in relative value within the universe of credit securities
  • actively managing the portfolio with respect to interest rates, swap and credit margins, and managing the portfolio's sensitivity in these.

As a business, we have always had an unparalleled ability to look through the noise of the external environment to see detail and opportunities that others do not.

Today, we are an ASX-listed company (ASX: PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, providing asset management, private wealth and trustee services to local and international clients. Our operations span Australia, Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
