The objective of the Fund is to provide strong absolute returns to investors, while also outperforming its S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index benchmark over rolling 5-year periods. The Fund will typically invest in between 20 and 40 small-cap companies, while up to 10% of the portfolio may be invested in unlisted securities.
We seek to exploit market inefficiencies typically more prevalent outside the S&P/ASX100 Index.
Elvest Co believes that attractive long-term returns can be achieved through the implementation of a disciplined investment process, using bottom-up fundamental analysis and with a focus on high-quality emerging leaders.

Elvest Co’s focus is small cap investing. Under researched and under-owned by large institutions, the small cap market provides opportunities to generate strong absolute returns over the long term. Our bottom-up research and company visitation program results in an actively managed portfolio of 20 to 40 high quality Australian businesses offering dynamic growth.
We target companies that have:
Within small cap equities, market pricing is at its most inefficient, and we occasionally see obvious departures from underlying value. By owning companies at a discount to our assessed value, we increase the probability of a successful investment outcome.
The Elvest team has employed the same strategy in managing various small-cap portfolios since 2011. This includes a Private Small Cap Trust from July 2011 to August 2016, and a wholesale Small Cap Fund from April 2017 to December 2021.
For informational purposes only, the above historical track record return profile chart references the net return (after all fees and expenses) of the wholesale Small Cap Fund only, representing the period of April 2017 to December 2021:
Strategy Return (Gross) of 20.6% p.a.
