The Fund is managed by an experienced management team and focuses on a high-quality portfolio of loans that is diversified, relatively liquid and adhere to strict loan criteria and credit approval requirements. The Fund provides a 10% p.a. target return to investors1, with distributions paid monthly, offering stable competitive income from a Fund that is backed by real property assets.

The Capstone Income Fund unlocks the power of property returns to investors by investing in a high-quality diversified portfolio of Australian property mortgages secured against assets such as residential properties, commercial properties, or residual stock properties from recently completed developments (with no major construction exposure).
The Fund has strict investment criteria, risk management and credit analysis procedures before making any loans from the Fund, with all investments requiring unanimous approval from the Fund’s Investment Committee. Management consist of 5-10% of the Fund with the management investment acting as first-loss to other investors for both the investor return and capital. This is a unique capital preservation feature offered by the management of the Fund, further protecting investor’s capital and ensuring a true alignment of interests as management has “skin-in-the-game”. Their first-loss commitment ensures that the management stands behind every investment made on behalf of the fund.
Investment Criteria
Investment loans will satisfy the following criteria:

** At time of loan settlement. Applicable after the first year of the Fund’s operation.

Alexander is the founder and principal equity investor of MacDonald Capital, and Director and Investment Manager for Capstone Funds.
Alexander has worked in project finance and construction for over 15 years, and managed MacDonald Capital from inception over the last five years completing over 75 successful deals to date with no capital loss.
Prior to MacDonald Capital, Alexander was employed by Plenary Group, a niche investment bank that specialises in infrastructure and property development financial advisory and investment.
Alexander has a double degree in Commerce and Engineering from the University of Sydney.
Frances is a Director and Investment Manager of Capstone Funds.
Frances is experienced in strategy, planning, governance, and commercial deal execution and management.
Prior to Capstone Income Fund, Frances developed strategy and operational plans for large scale telcos and energy companies, managed commercial partnerships, and executed commercial deals up to the value of $0.5 billion.
Frances holds a Bachelor of Economics and Social Sciences (Hons I), Masters of International Law specialising in doing business in emerging markets, and a Diploma of Applied Finance.
Huw is an investment committee member and advisor to Capstone Funds.
Huw has over 15 years’ experience of loan origination, credit analysis and project finance with a focus on infrastructure debt advisory.
Huw has a degree in engineering from the University of Sydney and is an accredited member of the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA).
Shane manages Capstone’s draft financial statements and assists the Trustee in the quarterly unitholder distribution calculation process as well as other regulatory tax and accounting functions for the Fund.
Shane is an Australian tax and accounting expert and has worked in the industry for the past 16 years focusing on small and large business.
Shane has been involved with several successful start ups and serves as a CFO for various private Australian & US entities.
Shane holds a Bachelor of Business Double Major in Accounting and Finance at Edith Cowan University and is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
Boutique Capital acts Capstone’s Custodian, Administrator and AFSL licence holder. Based in Sydney Australia, Boutique Capital is an Australian Financial Services Licensee that advises, launches, operates and administrates successful, wholesale funds management businesses.
