HoldenCAPITAL Partners (Australian Financial Services License 481944), established in 2017, is a funds management group providing sophisticated investors with the opportunity to invest in standalone, development related first mortgage, second mortgage, and preferred equity opportunities.


HoldenCAPITAL Partners offer investors the chance to participate in multiple Select Loan Investments (SLI’s), enabling them to build their own portfolio of SLI’s based on their personal risk/return appetite.


Our deal flow comes via long-term repeat developer clients, brokerage referrals, direct inquiries, and our sister company HoldenCAPITAL (Australia’s #1 Commercial Mortgage Broker in 2015, 2016, and 2017). This relationship sets us apart from competitors, providing HCP investors with exclusive access to a constant flow of quality loan opportunities to consider.

HCP’s investment products primarily include First Mortgages, but from time to time, we also provide Second Mortgages and Preferred Equity.

 

 

HCP typically funds residential and commercial projects with a key focus on houses, townhouses, land subdivisions, and industrial developments.

 

HCP’s preference is on short-term, non-complex construction, where the product can mostly be constructed and sold down within 9-15 months.

Review Information Memorandum

Each Select Loan Investment is presented to HCP investors via a Information Memorandum which outlines information including: the duration of the loan, the interest rate offered, the sponsor, type of loan and security, the location of the loan and how the funds will be utilised.

 

Complete Selection Form

Once you have reviewed the IM and decided to invest, please complete the accompanying Selection Form and transfer your funds to finalise your participation in the Select Loan Investment.

Daniel Holden is the founding partner of Holden Capital, with responsibility for the teams structuring and arranging of senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity facilities for its clients’ property-based developments and investments.

 

Daniel’s core strengths are in Construction Finance and Joint Ventures with over 18 years of development and finance experience that includes project management and over six years in finance consultancy, loan and joint venture structuring and funds management.

 

Steve Wiltshire spent 27 years with Macquarie Bank as a director and National Portfolio Head of the Real Estate Structured Finance Division, overseeing construction finance and joint ventures. 

 

He also served 3 years as Executive Director of ANZ’s Institutional Property Group, responsible for the Queensland and Northern Territory loan portfolio. After 9 years as Executive Chairman of the HC Group Steve is stepping back to a non-executive role but will continue to provide advice to the team assisting with the structuring transactions and assessing risk mitigants, drawing on his extensive banking and JV experience.

 

Gary Connolly has over 17 years of experience in financial services, specifically in the banking and funds management sectors both in Australia and abroad. 

 

Prior to joining HCP in 2017, Gary spent 8 years with Trilogy Funds Management as their Business development Manager and prior to that was employed by Citigroup and Deutsche Bank in key account management roles.

 

His professional experience is underpinned by a tertiary background in Law.
