To generate favourable returns, through long-term capital appreciation, by providing investors with exposure to 50, actively managed, venture backed investments.
The OC50 Portfolio will be constructed in accordance with the investment team’s investment philosophy. The investment philosophy is based on identifying and capturing opportunities for value creation that are largely inaccessible to general investors.
OurCrowd seeks to access companies and management teams aiming to solve the world’s biggest problems. The OC50 fund will have exposure to 50 deep technology companies, all privately held which showcase attractive value metrics and large upside potential.
The Fund's 50 investments offer broad exposure to various sectors, stages and geographies. This aims to provide downside protection and ongoing return of capital as portfolio companies achieve an exit.
Phase 1 – Initial Contact
OurCrowd sources opportunities from its vast network and begins initial due diligence.
Each month, 150-200 companies across all major tech sectors are screened and vetted.
Phase 2 – Scheduled Meetings
OurCrowd initials initial pitch meetings with potential investments.
Phase 3 – Due Diligence
Various due diligence meetings take place to dive further into key areas of analysis; this includes meeting with various members of the OurCrowd investment team as well as consultants.
Phase 4 – Investment Committee
The company presents to OurCrowd’s senior investment committee for a final decision.
Phase 5 – Fundraising
Once the term sheet is signed, OurCrowd launches the company on its platform. During the raise period, the company’s executive team is available for one-on-one investor meetings.
Investors receive in-depth investment analysis and other due diligence materials to hep make investment decisions.
OurCrowd is uniquely positioned to gain access to the most sought after private, VC investment opportunities as it leverages its wide network of wholesale investors and 14 global offices on 5 continents.
OurCrowd offers an institutional grade due diligence process with a distinct and differentiated approach to other VC firms, with a significant venture partner team, in-house incubator program and wide-reaching strategic partners.
The Fund is suitable for long-term investors who want exposure to otherwise difficult to access sectors and private investments around the world, with lower return correlation to mainstream assets such as listed equities.
Investors must be willing to accept a higher degree of illiquidity inherent with private and venture capital investments.
Due to improved market efficiencies and an influx of capital into private markets, companies are staying private longer, with the vast majority exiting via M&A.
Venture capital investments are typically in emerging technologies, which are transforming and redefining industries. Venture capital investing offers exposure to evolving industries, often at the ground level, hedging the risks associated with mature companies ripe for disruption.
VC has generated compelling returns relative to public markets in both recent years and over the long-term.
OurCrowd was established in 2013, with the intention of providing democratised access for Sophisticated and Wholesale clients to technology investing, an area that historically relied on gatekeepers controlling who could participate and generally requiring very significant investment sizes.
