The Fund seeks to generate better risk adjusted returns by focusing on investing in carefully screened market opportunities. The investments will focus on a combination of primary and secondary market opportunities. The Fund is designed to provide Investors access to these opportunities. The Investment Manager is comprised of an investment team with experience in bulge bracket investment banking, local financial institutions and wholesale funds management.
The Investment Manager, therefore, may have access to corporate opportunities and a network of senior business people from time to time and across a range of industries. The Investment Manager will assess these opportunities through a systematic screening process which will include quantitative and qualitative tools.
The objective of the Fund is to produce better risk adjusted returns for Investors. The Investment Manager believes the best method to achieve this is to maintain a relatively concentrated portfolio of investments at any given time. This allows a close focus on managerial performance and developments in the business and enables the Investment Manager to make informed and timely adjustments to the Fund’s positions and manage risk. As a result of holding a concentrated portfolio, the Fund often takes a relatively medium-term view on its positions, as it takes time for some of these positions to converge towards the Fund’s target valuation.
