Now we have James McCauley, chairman of Rubicon Resources, a great company on the quest for critical minerals and precious metals.
James is a mining industry expert with experience in metallurgy, mineral processing operations, mineral exploration and engineering design amongst others.
Along with James today is Chris Towsie,
Chris is an experienced mining and exploration geologist and geochemist with over 40 years experience.
Over to you James and Chris.
Thank you.
Replicon's exploration objectives are to locate economic deposits of gold and critical minerals.
In the critical minerals area, copper, cobalt and rare earths.
They're all needed for
to meet zero emissions targets.
We're very excited about what we've found so far.
We've identified a very interesting gold, copper, cobalt prospect that looks like it's at least 11 kilometres long and it may be up to 15 kilometres.
And we've also identified in the same exploration licence in Western New South Wales,
rarest deposit that looks like it's near surface on absorption type.
So the reason for us focusing on gold is because in times of financial uncertainty, which we have at the present, reliance on, well, fair currency, paper money, with all the troubles around the world geopolitically, and it looks like looming financial problems in the USA,
Gold is a very good thing to focus on.
We believe it's prudent that that's our number one priority.
The good thing about gold is you don't need a team of marketing people to line up off-take contracts.
It's easily exchangeable for cash.
And the copper that is needed for, that's our second priority, that's needed for meeting zero emissions targets.
And again, it's easy to extract the technologies very well established.
And of course, the demand is there for electric vehicles and well, meeting these zero emissions requirements.
The third priority is rare earth elements, which again are needed for electric vehicles and wind turbines, again as critical elements.
Over to you, Chris.
Thanks, Jones.
Here we have a database of
soil sampling that we've assessed so far.
It's the mobile metal iron technique and the interesting thing that's come out of that is we have a gold and copper anomaly that's about, as James said, about 11 kilometres long.
It could be up to two kilometres wide and within that we've got a six kilometre long anomaly in the soil in cobalt.
Now what we also have is, after going through and reassessing the data, we've got a very interesting
rare earth target that we call halo target and that's looking quite interesting at the moment.
So within this exploration ground at Bourke, we've got a copper, cobalt, gold anomaly and then also within that we've got rare earths as well.
So James you want to mention a little bit about the processing of the rare earths?
Yes.
The rare earths being near surface ion absorption type, they're absorbed onto clay which means
Instead of being an expensive, if it's a hard rock situation with underground mining involved, it's near surface, basically an earth moving operation to dig up the ozone material.
And it's fairly easy to extract that using suitable liquid.
And once that's done, well, you have a concentrate that you can sell.
And there's a lot of interest from the USA
finding alternative sources of rare earth elements which of course as we said are critical elements needed to meet zero emissions targets.
So there's an increasing demand and of course Australia has looked on us particularly by the USA as a reliable supplier of those elements.
So essentially the project looks like it will be near surface, low cost, capital cost and low operating costs to
to extract the rare earth elements.
So in the immediate short term, obviously the rare earth target is our principal target.
We've put together an air core drilling programme which will give us some sampling between about 30 to 60 metres below surface.
And that air core programme has been approved by the regulator in New South Wales.
So we're seeking seed capital at this stage to be able to fund that drilling.
We believe it's quite an interesting target.
The dimensions of it are of the right order of magnitude to make it something which could be economic.
But until we've done further drilling across that, then obviously we won't be certain as to exactly what we've got.
But the air core program is designed to give us an idea of how thick this deposit may be.
And then obviously with further seed capital raise, we'll go into a much deeper drilling program.
using reverse circulation drilling down to about 200 metres if the target is still persisting, then obviously we go to diamond core drilling as well.
The diamond core will take us anywhere down to depth to basement is round about 200 to 400 metres in that area.
So we'll be looking at drilling initially a range of 400 metre deep holes once sufficient capital comes in.
So James, you like to mention a little bit about
how the investors get involved in this project?
Yes, yes.
Well, the tenements will form the asset backing for our capital raise.
We have an option on this very interesting licence where we've done some work already and come up with results that we're extremely excited about.
And the additional
benefit to shareholders in terms of value is that we're getting joint venture discussions with several parties who've got tenements in each scenario, where that offers us the potential to generate income and pay dividends much more quickly than if we go through the process of applying and starting exploration from scratch.
So we're looking to give investors that benefit of
early returns on their investment.
And of course, we're also looking to do an IPO within 24 months.
We're in a hurry to get on with this.
It looks very exciting what we've come across so far.
So that's the situation there.
And of course, investors who come in at this early stage, they came in in the ground floor and they stand to get a much higher return on investment.
than investors who come in later on.
So that's the early stage benefits.
For investors, they can come in for a minimum investment of $10,000.
And to stress the importance here again, of the point I made earlier, the geopolitical uncertainties,
looming, it would appear, financial problems with the US economy and international finance.
Central banks are stocking up on gold and they have been for the last two years quite heavily.
So the smart money is going into gold and that's where we're focused and that we believe provides a very good strategy for investors.
Now, once we do an IPO, investors can
should they choose, realise on their investment, once when they're still on the stock exchange, if there's an escrow period involved, well, we'll be aiming to increase the valuation of the company to maintain share value through further joint venture work and applying for more tenements in our own right.
So we're aiming to keep everything on a very favourable
orientation for investors.
And if investors choose to invest more than the $5,000, then the $10,000, they can invest in increments of $5,000.
So covering that final point, if investors come in at this early stage, they're getting the benefit of earlier, cheaper shares, and also they'll get the benefit
we're aiming to offer early stage investors discounted options, less than the IPO bursting price on the stock exchange.
So it's very important in our view for investors to consider what's going on in the world and to preserve the safety of their financial position
And we think that gold based on past history over thousands of years is a safe investment in times of high inflation to preserve their financial situation.
So in an IPO, James, quite often the share price may decline after the float.
So one of the things that we're looking at is to try and maintain that share price by acquiring other assets that increases the asset backing for the share price.
But we believe the expiration results alone should be enough to maintain the price.
So if investors' initial, with initial vendor shares are escrowed for any period of time, it means that if we maintain that share price for two to three years through the acquisition of additional assets and through positive expiration results coming back, then when it comes time for the investors to exit, the share price has been maintained over that period of time.
obviously one of our key focuses.
So, James, how do people get involved in doing this investment?
Who should they contact?
Well, they can give me a contact.
James Macaulay, email james.macaulay, M-A-C-A-U-L-A-Y, at Rubicon Resources, that's R-U-B-I-C-O-N, resources, all one word, .com.au, and mobile number
zero four one three seven six zero two double eight.
For overseas investors it would be plus six one four one three seven six zero two double eight.
So I just commend this matter to investors.
It should be seen as a speculative investment but one that I see has a good risk return scenario attached to it
So over to you investors and we're very excited about this and we look forward to having you on board.
So thanks for your presentation, James and Chris.
Do you have time for a few questions?
Yes.
The first question is for you, Chris.
Why did Rubicon select its current exploration area and why are the recent exploration results so exciting?
To answer the first part, the main targets metals, as James said, that we're looking for are gold and copper.
So we were looking for areas where there'd been limited or minimal exploration work.
We're looking particularly for the intersection of major lineaments.
These lineaments are deep crustal fractures that bring fluids up from deeper in the crust and are very prospective for mineralisation.
The ground that we're working at Berg is right on the intersection of the G7 lineament with another major structure coming through.
We looked at previous exploration work.
There were
interesting metal values in ball water geochemistry and also some hematite alteration in some water borders in that area as well.
To answer the second part of the question, why is it exciting?
Well, going through the soil sample results that we have, we have a set of gold and copper anomaly that's about 11 kilometres long, anything up to two kilometres wide.
And within that, we have a rare earth anomaly as well.
We believe this makes it a highly prospective area.
It fits the exploration model that we had.
We were looking at the Olympic Dam exploration model, which hosts the major copper and gold deposit.
That's operated currently by BHP and it's one of Australia's largest copper deposit.
It's characterised by hematite alteration.
So this red rock alteration that you see at Broxby Downs Olympic Dam is very, very similar to the sort of hematite alteration that we saw in some of the rollerblades.
James, you touched on it during your presentation, but could you reiterate what's in it for the investor?
Well, just to emphasise again, investors who come in at this stage stand to make a much higher return on investment than those who come in later.
The second point is,
We're planning to do an IPO within 24 months, so we're excited about what we've found so far and we're in a hurry to get on with it.
The second advantage for investors is that we'll be offering vendor shares, free IPO, at a discount to the IPO price.
The other point I think Chris has mentioned already is that we'll maintain the asset backing through joint ventures and applying for further exploration tenements.
Based on what we've discovered so far, we're very positive about our expectations of future success with this project.
So return on investment,
is a major interest for us.
We understand the importance of that to investors.
And if they're going to invest in a mining project, an early stage mining project, then they're going to want to see a high return on investment.
And that's what we're all about achieving for them.
Again, thanks, James and Chris.
Great presentation and great to see you.
Thank you, Jamie.
And thanks for the opportunity to be able to present.
Thank you.
